Looking ahead to 2027

As we move into the next phase of the program, I wanted to share a little more about what’s happening behind the scenes and how much thought is already going into possible 2027 breeding plans.
Right now, we are very much in a growth and learning phase. Health testing is starting on our young dogs, everyone is out showing in their classes, and sports and field work are picking up. This part of the journey is less about rushing to an end goal and more about watching the dogs mature, both physically and mentally, and letting them show me who they really are over time.
I look at each dog as a whole. Structure matters, but so does temperament, drive, work ethic, and how they handle different environments. The show ring gives important feedback, but field work and performance venues tell me a lot about instinct, endurance, and problem solving. Those pieces matter just as much to me as what is seen in a stack.
At this point, I have two future pairing ideas in mind for the girls. These are not final plans, just thoughtfully considered directions. As health testing continues and the dogs continue to grow, those ideas may change, and that flexibility is intentional. I want to make decisions based on the dogs in front of me, not a fixed timeline.
Grant will also be starting the next chapter of his career in early 2027. He is expected to begin standing at stud and may also be campaigned. As with everything else here, he will be offered selectively and thoughtfully, and only in situations where the pairing truly makes sense.
I believe strongly in transparency, patience, and doing things the right way. Breeding is not something I take lightly, and no decision is ever rushed. Every pairing is the result of years of learning, hands on experience, and a deep respect for the responsibility that comes with bringing the next generation into the world.
I am really excited about what lies ahead, not because of numbers or timelines, but because of the care and intention already shaping these plans. I will continue to share updates as we move forward and as decisions become clearer.
